Survivor = "Maximizing gain while minimizing losses"
We decided to take photos of our 80 meter and 40 meter antenna's while
being put up on a 10 foot section of antenna mast. Any
mast or pipe will do as long as its not over 1.25 inches (31 1SM) in
diameter. Here you can see the base mounting system.

Here it is
with the base mount and adaptor. Each version has its own
adaptor size.
Sliding the adaptor coupler on.
And now the base plate.
Mounting screws go into the adapter to hold the antenna to it.
Here it is with me adjusting the whip for best swr in the
section of the band I want to use. A tuner will let it easily
work the whole band.* Please Note: These antennas WILL NOT WORK
setting on the ground! They must be at least 5 feet above the
ground and its recommended to be 10 feet up. So if your inside a
building, the floor should be at least 5 feet above the ground
or metal objects.
It was hot that day and I should have smiled more :)
I have talked all over the U.S.A. with this setup.
PLEASE NOTE: THE TELESCOPING WHIP IS NO
LONGER USED..
